'Part of China opposite Hong Kong ...': map of the area between Deep Bay (Shenzhen Wan) and Mirs Bay (Tai Pang Wan), showing roads, towns, cultivated land, heights of land and soundings. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 1 mile. Compass indicator. Coastline reduced from an Admiralty chart by P Jourdain, Royal Engineers, 3 June 1889; sketched by Lieutenant G Young, Royal Engineers, November 1889 to March 1890; (signed): Lieutenant Young, 14 April 1890; this copy reproduced for the Intelligence Division, War Office, at the School of Military Engineering, Chatham, July 1890. Coloured MS additions mark the lines of longitude at 114°6'E and 114°18'E, and the line of latitude at 20°21'N.
