Essex: Ongar. (1) Two maps on one sheet, showing the environs of North Weald redoubt. Scale: 6 inches to 1 mile [1:10,560] and 1:2,500. Compass indicator. Traced from Ordnance Survey six-inch County Series sheet Essex L and Ordnance Survey 1:2,500 County Series sheets Essex L.11-12. (2) Plan and three sections of the redoubt, showing contours, buildings, etc. Reference table and note. Scale: 1 inch to 40 feet [1:480]. Compass indicator. Both items [drawn by] R A West, 2 November 1892; signed by Colonel C Ferguson, Commanding Royal Engineer, Eastern District, 3 November 1892.
