Jersey: Saint Helier. Book containing 30 sheets of maps of Fort Regent and Elizabeth Castle. (1) Two index maps, one showing the areas covered by each of items (2-30) and one referring to the coverages of related field books (not now filed with these maps). Scale not shown [perhaps missing due to damage]. (2-30) Detailed survey, on 29 sheets; item (6) serves as the title page. Reference tables to accommodation, uses of buildings, water supply, drainage, etc, appear on items (16-17, 19, 21-22, 24, 27). Scale: 1:500. Surveyed by the Royal Engineers, 1874-1877; many [?all] sheets drawn by Colonel R Bearman; all sheets signed by Lieutenant Colonel Edward Bland, Commanding Royal Engineer. Various later additions and notes, in pencil and coloured ink, made at various dates to 1904.
