'Carte de France': map comprising parts of three joined sheets, together covering the coastal areas of south-western France and central northern Spain, between the northern end of Lac d'Hourtin and Ria de Tinamayor. Detailed list of sources. Work on the survey of the 1:500,000-scale 'Carte de France' began under the supervision of Captain Prudent, French Engineers, in December 1870. Engraved and printed by Erhard. Stamped with the dated of November 1882.
