(2) Printed map of the island, showing parishes, villages, churches and soundings; mounted onto a backing sheet. Reference tables to roads, streams and post offices, and to the distribution of shells and plants. Scale: 1 inch to 800 yards [1:28,800]. Compass indicator. Published by Thomas Grigg, 1882. Coloured MS addition highlighting the site of the barracks. (3) Plan of the barracks. Reference table. Scale: 1:500. Compass indicator. Based on a survey made by Captain Parsons in 1868. (4-7) Four sheets of plans, elevations and sections of individual buildings. Scale: 1 inch to 15 feet [1:180] (plans); 1 inch to 10 feet [1:120] (elevations and sections).
