Ordnance Survey six-inch County Series sheet Essex LXXIX: map covering the environs of Shoeburyness, Great Wakering and Little Wakering. Scale: 6 inches to 1 mile. Surveyed by Captain Pilleau, Royal Engineers, 1873; contoured by Captain Wynne, Royal Engineers, 1877; engraved at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, under the direction of Colonel Bayly, Royal Engineers, 1877, with the outline and writing by De L Lewis and the ornamentation by J Muir; published 31 August 1880. Coloured MS additions showing land at Shoeburyness owned and in the process of being acquired by the War Department; MS reference note; additions dated 18 November 1889. Pencilled note dated 1890.
