Kingdom of the Netherlands: Nieuwpoort (or Nieuport, now in Belgium). (1-2) 'Sections thro' the different fronts of Nieuport': nine sections on two sheets. (3) 'Plan of Nieuport': Map showing fortifications and military buildings. Reference table to item (3) in French. Scale: (1-2) 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]; (3) 1:4,000. Compass indicator to item (3). Copied from an original map and drawings transmitted by Lieutenant Colonel Carmichael Smyth, August 1814. Items (1-2) copied by H A Black, Third Class Royal Military Surveyor and Draughtsman: (1) 12 February 1815; (2) 28 February 1815; item (3) copied by W J Kaye, Royal Military Surveyor and Draughtsman, and J Harwood, Cadet, August 1814. Dimensions: (1) 99 cm x 61 cm; (2) 64 cm x 100 cm; (3) 107 cm x 82 cm.
