'Mapa General del Reyno de Portugal: comprehende sus Provicias, Corregimientos, Oidorias, Proveedurias, Concejos, Cotos, & c.... por Don Tomás Lopes, Geografo... 1778': map on eight joined sheets, showing provinicial and other administrative boundaries, towns and cities, relief, rivers, etc. Reference table; notes on sources used in compiling the map. Dedicated to Don Pedro Rodriguez Campomanes, director of the [Spanish] Royal Academy of History. Title and dedication in a decorative cartouche. Scale: 1 inch to about 2 common Portuguese leagues [1 inch to about 7.25 miles]. A corrected edition, apparently produced some years after 1778. Unexplained, coloured MS additions to the hinterland of Lisbon (Lisboa).
