France: Toulon. 'Plan de la Ville de Toulon et de ses Environs copied under the inspection of Colonel D'Aubant, Ch Engineer Jan. 2e 1794 par P Millez': maps showing military works. Scale: 6 lignes to 100 toises [1 inch to about 1,200 feet]. Compass indicator. An additional note states: 'This plan shows with tolerable accuracy the form of the Works which surround the Town of Toulon; it is the most correct of those Plans belonging to the Engineer Office which have been examined by Lt. Renny'; signed by Lieutenant H L Renny, Royal Invalid Engineers, April 1830.
