Kingdom of the Netherlands: Antwerp (Antwerpen or Anvers; now in Belgium). 'Plan of Antwerp with Lunettes... which it is proposed to construct in front of the Citadel': map of the town. Scale: 1 inch to 400 feet. Compass indicator. The year 1916 has been added to the title in pencil.
Originally accompanying the Report of the Committee of British Engineers on the Fortresses of the Netherlands; the report is not filed with these drawings. This piece was part of a collection of plans and drawings held by Major General Sir John Jones which, following his death in 1843, were sent to the office of the Inspector General of Fortifications; correspondence about the transfer and a list of the plans and drawings are among the papers in WO 55/959
