Kingdom of the Netherlands: Ypres (Ieper; now in Belgium). Map of the city showing proposed works. Scale: 1 inch to about 405 feet; scale bar also in toises. Compass indicator.
Originally accompanying the Report of the Committee of British Engineers on the Fortresses of the Netherlands; the report is not filed with this map. This piece was part of a collection of plans and drawings held by Major General Sir John Jones which, following his death in 1843, were sent to the office of the Inspector General of Fortifications; correspondence about the transfer and a list of the plans and drawings are among the papers in WO 55/959
