'The Ordnance Map of Hong Kong ...': on four joined sheets, covering Kowloon, Hong Kong island and neighbouring islands; showing soundings in fathoms. Reference table and note on tides. Scale: 4 inches to 1 mile. Partly based on Admiralty charts, and on information supplied by His Excellency Sir John Francis Davis (Bart), Governor of Hong Kong; surveyed by Lieutenant [Thomas B] Collinson, Royal Engineers, 1845; engraved under the direction of Captain Yolland at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1846; outline and writing by J A Harrison, and ornamentation by J C Peake; (signed): Major Edward Aldrich, 30 October 1846. Coloured MS additions [showing War Department and Admiralty property]; additions dated 3 July 1883.
