(3) Map covering the area between Dunkwa in the north-east and 'Ampanca' (a burned settlement on the coast, west of Elmina) in the south-west, showing the nature of the terrain, place names, routes, and the sites of burned settlements. Scale: 1 inch to 2 miles. Compass indicator. Based on sketches by Captain [G L] Huyshe and Captain [R H] Buller, Deputy Assistant Quartermasters General, assisted by Lieutenants [A F] Hart, [W T] Dooner and [A H] Eyre; compiled by Captain Huyshe and drawn by Captains Huyshe and Buller, Cape Coast Castle, 20 October 1873. Lithographed at the Topographical Depot, War Office, under the direction of Major C W Wilson, Royal Engineers. (1-2) Two copies of the eastern half only of item (3), covering areas north and east of Cape Coast; item (1) also showing the sites of hospitals and halting places on a march made by British troops to the River Pra. Reference table to item (1).
