Middlesex: Westminster (now the London Borough of Westminster). Ordnance Survey five-foot map of London sheets XI.82 and [XI.92] joined, the combined map covering the area between Saint James's Palace in the north-east and Victoria Station in the south-west. Scale: 5 feet to 1 mile [1 inch to 88 feet]. Sheet XI.92 surveyed by Colonel Bayly, Royal Engineers, 1869; engraved at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, under the direction of Colonel Cameron, Royal Engineers; published 15 June 1871. Coloured MS additions highlight Wellington Barracks; MS reference table shows the sources from which the War Department acquired the land at the barracks. Signed by Colonel E V Gooden, Commanding Royal Engineer. Originally accompanying a letter from Colonel Gooden, 4 January 1877; this letter is not filed with the map.
