India. 'Oudh and Adjacent Districts compiled from Materials now in the Office of the Surveyor General of India, and corrected, where practicable, from the G.T. Survey Operations January 1848': map of the area (now in Uttar Pradesh state) between the boundary with Nepal in the north-east, Benares (now Varanasi) in the south-east, and Farrukhabad in the west, showing named settlements, waterways, and a proposed railway line. Reference table to survey posts, post offices and horse dak chokeys [i.e. customs stations on horse-transport routes]; notes on observations and sources. Scale: 1 inch to 8 miles.
