['Carte topographique de la France']: four sheets of a map on multiple sheets, joined and mounted on a backing sheet: 'Sarreguémines', 'Wissembourg', ['Saverne'] and an unidentified sheet, together covering the area between Elmstein (now in Rheinland-Pfalz state, Germany) in the north-east, La Wantzenau (in Bas-Rhin département) in the south-east and Villers-sur-Meuse (in Meuse département) in the west, showing relief, rivers, towns, railway, etc; areas outside France are shown in less detail and without relief. Surveyed by officers of the Corps d'Etat-Major; engraved at the French War Department; published 1835-1837; revised to 1852. A space on the backing sheet (south of 'Sarreguémines', west of 'Saverne' and east of the unidentified sheet) covers the area of the 'Sarrebourg' sheet; MS additions in this space show the position of Sarrebourg and [?]railways lines. received in the War Office 1871.
