Description

Nova Scotia (now part of Canada): Halifax. Contoured map showing War Department property at Fort Clarence. Scale: 1 inch to 40 feet. Compass indicator. Copied from an original survey by Captain Dawson and Lieutenant Herbert Locock, Royal Engineers; copied by Lieutenant Locock; signed by Lieutenant Colonel S J Westmacott, Commanding Royal Engineer. Originally accompanying a letter from Lieutenant Colonel Westmacott to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 27 November 1861; the letter is not filed with this sheet.
