Newfoundland (now part of Canada): Saint John's. Two copies of each of two sheets. (1-2) '[Map]... Shewing the present Fortifications.. with those that are proposed to be erected ...'. Reference table to defences and defence works. Scale: 1 inch to 225 feet [1:2,700]. Compass indicators. (3-4) Plan, elevation and section of a blockhouse [erected at Signal Hill]. Scale: 1 inch to 5 feet [1:60]. Item (1) and (3) signed by Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Skinner, Commanding Royal Engineer, [c1800]; item (2) copied by R H Jago, Royal Military Surveyor and Draughtsman, 1802; item (4) copied by David Robinson, Royal Military Surveyor and Draughtsman, 24 December 1801. Dimensions: (1-2) each 101.5 cm x 142.5 cm; (3) 63 cm x 46.5 cm; (4) 58.5 cm x 45 cm.
