Sudan: Suakin (Sawakin). Three sheets of drawings of number 2 pier, Quarantine Island. (1, 3) Two copies of a sheet bearing a plan and two sections, showing the depths of piles; (2) plan showing an extension to the pier and the proposed arrangement of railway lines. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240] (plans); 1 inch to 5 feet [1:60] (sections). Item (2) dated 4 October 1884. Item (3) drawn by Lieutenant A Graham Thomson, Royal Engineers, 9 February 1885; signed by Lieutenant Colonel Elliott Wood, Commanding Royal Engineer. Item (1) traced [from item (3)] by Sapper Archer, 11 February 1885.
