'The Ordnance Map of Hong Kong ...': on four sheets, covering Kowloon, Hong Kong island and neighbouring islands; showing soundings in fathoms. Item (4) has been trimmed at the edges. Reference table and note on tides to item (3). Scale: 4 inches to 1 mile. Partly based on Admiralty charts, and on information supplied by His Excellency Sir John Francis Davis (Bart), Governor of Hong Kong; surveyed by Lieutenant [Thomas B] Collinson, Royal Engineers, 1845; engraved under the superintendence of Colonel Colby at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1846; outline and writing by J A Harrison, and ornamentation by J C Peake. Item (3) (signed): Major Edward Aldrich, 30 October 1846. All sheets stamped at the Royal Engineers' Office, Mauritius, 14 June 1875. A shelfmark label is affixed to the dorse of each of items (1-3).
