Île de France (now Mauritius): Mahébourg. 'Plan du Bourg Mahé fait d'après les arpentages et [p]lacements de bornes ...': street map, showing numbered land lots. Scale: 1 inch to about 31.25 toises. Compass indicator. Produced under the direction of Mr Malavois, Chief Surveyor; signed by Mr Chevalier, Sworn Land Surveyor; dated 24 August 1806. A note, in English, states that the Government Surveyor referred to this map when he witnessed the laying of the War Department boundary stones in June 1859. Stamped at the Royal Engineers' Office, Mauritius, 14 June 1875.
