G.O.C.'s Residence': 19 sheets of drawings of the residence of the General Officer Commanding [the Royal Engineers]: (1) foundation plan; (2) ground floor plan; (3) first floor plan; (4) roof plan; (5-6) sections; (7) front [or west] elevation; (8) [rear or] east elevation; (9) [end or] north and south elevations; (10-12, 14) details of the verandas; (13) details of windows; (15-17) details of doorways, cornices, balustrading, skirting, moulding, etc; (18) details of iron columns; (19) details of slate roofing. Scale: (1-9) 1 inch to 8 feet [1:96]; (10-14) 1 inch to 2 feet [1:24]; (15-17, 19) 1:1; (18) 3 inches to 2 feet [1:8]. Compass indicator to item (2). Initialled: (1-13) J H, 10 December 1896, (15-19) E L, 11 June 1897; item (14) initialled and dated by both draughtsmen. All items signed by [Colonel] C M Watson, [Royal Engineers], Deputy Inspector General of Fortifications, 16 October 1897. Sheet sizes between 44 cm x 62 cm and 51 cm x 68 cm.
