Description

'Mauritius Tombeau Battery': a single sheet of plans and sections, also showing a neighbouring magazine. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 30 feet. Compass indicator. Initialled: C M G. Signed by Major General Sir Andrew Clarke, Inspector General of Fortifications. Marked: 'Incorrect'. Originally accompanying a letter from the War Office dated 12 May 1886; the letter is not with the sheet.
