'Mauritius Tombeau Battery. Revised Design': a sheet of plans and sections of the battery and casemates [i.e. fortified chambers], with details of loopholes. Scale: 1 inch to 2 feet [1:24] (loopholes); 1 inch to 10 feet [1:120] (remainder). Initialled: I L W; signed by Lieutenant General Lothian Nicholson, Inspector General of Fortifications, 21 April 1887. Originally accompanying a letter from the War Office dated 20 April 1887; the letter is not filed with the sheet.
