Mauritius. Map of the coast from Trou aux Biches to the Îles des Grands Vaquois, showing defence works at Pointe aux Canonniers, Trou aux Biches and Grande Baie, and soundings. Scale: [?3 inches to 1 mile]. [No date is shown; however, since the map does not show the Municipal Canal, completed in 1860, but does show the earlier Bathurst Canal, it presumably dates from before that year.] Two pencilled borders enclosing portions of the map, seem to be showing the extent of more detailed maps of the environs of Pointe aux Canonniers and Cape Malheureux; [no such maps has been identified among the holdings of The National Archives]. Stamped at the Royal Engineers' Office, Mauritius, 14 June 1875.
