Packet No 54: Papers relating to British India. Letters to Marquess Cornwallis from G. H. Barlow (Secretary of Government, Calcutta), H. Beaufoy, Adj.-Gen. W. Fawcett, Col. John Murray, Lieut.-Colonel Paterson, Major William Scott, Major Stehelin. Also copy of instructions to Jonathan Duncan (Resident at Benares); a bulky manuscript concerning the Bengal army, and official reports from Lieutenant Richard Fletcher (Royal Engineers) to the Duke of Richmond, dated from Prince Rupert's Head, Dominica, touching works of fortification.
