Description

Manuscript prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Tortola, Virgin Islands.

Captured ship: Comte de Belgioso (master Gerrit Borst).

History: an Austrian Netherlands merchant ship, bound from Nantes to St Marc, in Saint Domingue; taken by the privateer Juno (John Casey commanding) and brought into [Tortola].

Includes transcript, and a very large number of claims, translations etc, many from Ostend.
