Ships names beginning with the letter P.
There are some fine examples of foreign administrative documents among the seized papers of ships. In HCA 42/87 are seized French papers of the vessel La Pacifique of Nantes, which were produced in court in April 1758: they include a detailed crew list filled in in manuscript on handsome pre-printed forms; certificates of health; articles of instruction; and printed copies of letters from the French Minister of Marine, as well as many other written communications and printed forms.
