Appeal from the High Court of Admiralty of Ireland.
Captured ship: St Francisco y St Antonio of Madeira (master George Gonsalves De Rosa).
History: a Portuguese ship (30 tons, 6 men, 1 Irish passenger from Tenerife) bound from Madeira and Tenerife to Drontheim [Trondheim], laden with malvasia [malmsey] wine; taken about 31 March 1748 about 15 leagues east of Waterford by the privateer Besborough (Luke Mercer commanding) and brought into Dublin.
