Photograph of an official communique (in Spanish) from the headquarters of the British army of occupation under Lieut. - Gen. Whitelocke announcing the defeat of the Spanish army under Col. Elio at San Pedro. This photograph was purchased by H.M. Minister at Montevideo from Senor Nestor Garcia de Zuniga, an inspector of the Ministry of Finance.
