Deposition of Hsiao Ya, a native of Hsiang-shan, who had participated in a secret society's attempt at attacking Kang-k'ou and the district capital of Hsiang-shan in 1854. He later joined militia to suppress rebels in Kwangsi, and was arrested after his militia unit was demobilized. 3 ff.
