A report by Acting Salt Comptroller Ku-Ping-chang to G. G. Yeh Ming-ch'en on: (a) the rebels in Lung-ch'uan district having been driven back to Kiangsi; (b) the difficulty involved in transporting salt from the Huai salt administration to southern Kiangsi would possibly open up southern Kiangsi to Kwangtung salt; (c) foreigners importing sycee into China; (d) the exchange of Kiangsi rice for Ch'ao-chou salt; (e) rebels entering Tientsin; (f) the G. of Fukien now with his camp at Ch'üan-chou is cut off from money supplies from Foochow and has started printing paper money at Ch'üan-chou; (g) a report on the military situation in Fukien. 5 ff.
