Writ file ('brevia finita et non prosecuta') from the Northamptonshire eyre of 1329-1330.
Partially on original thong, with further dispersed material restored from various locations.
Part of this file (mm 1-612) was found on the original thong, while further material has been restored from unsorted miscellanea (mm 613-48) and from C 202 (mm 649-703). The section on the thong has been numbered in the filed order, from the bottom upwards, while the two other groups have been numbered in order of date of issue.
The original file, which contains a mixture of original and judicial writs, jury panels and other documents, was handed in to the treasury on 28 March 1332 ('Antient Kalendars and Inventories of the Exchequer', III, p. 160), along with a separate file of assize writs made up during the eyre.
