Eyre file, Northamptonshire.
Incomplete file of Bench writs, returnable in 1-2 Edward II (1307-9), sent to the 1329-30 Northamptonshire eyre under an order of 3 September 1329 (CCR 1327-30, p.493).
Only part of the original file survives here. Most of the writs form a distinct group, returnable late in Michaelmas term 1307, and are still on the original thong and with the original file cover and sessional tags for the various return days. A few stray documents from later terms have also been placed here, but the remainder of the file has yet to be identified.
