Refiled Bench writs ('extracta brevium') and associated material sent to the Kent eyre of 1333-4.
This piece forms the remains of one of the thirteen files of Bench writs sent to the eyre, covering the years from 15 Edward II to 7 Edward III, and contains writs returnable in 18 Edward II (1324-5), on return days between the octave of Michaelmas and Easter one month inclusive. Much of the file remains on the original thong, but the later material is loose and the order has been reconstructed. Further material for Hilary and Easter terms may be missing, and the writs for Trinity term are yet to be identified.
