Refiled Bench writs ('extracta brevium') and associated material sent to the Kent eyre of 1293.
The majority of this file was found intact on the original thong, and in return date order, running from the octave of Hilary to the morrow of the Nativity of St John the Baptist 1292. Further writs, most returnable during Trinity and Michaelmas terms 1292, have been discovered amongst unsorted miscellanea and added to this file, but it is likely that further writs are still missing.
A further file of writs sent to this eyre, relating to the period immediately before those in the present file, is at JUST 4/2/17.
