Description

Orders on appeals from sequestrations by the barons of the Exchequer

Note
The title runs 'By the Barons of the Exchequer authorised by act of Parliament for matters of Appeals touching Sequestrations 17 April 1649'. These orders postdate both the last session of the Committee on 18 March 1649 and its merger with that for Compounding, 29 January 1650. There is occasional duplication of them in SP 20/11-13. The Peter Daniell referred to on p 183 of SP 20/8 has a message regarding his case scribbled haphazardly into the end of the book (p 280); in other respects, the book is indexed, separately.
