Orders of 15 June and 8 September 1917 under the Defence of the Realm Act set up a Tobacco and Matches Control Board under the Board of Trade to administer orders restricting the importing, distribution and sale of tobacco and matches in 1917 and 1918. The Board was dissolved in 1919.
