Description
(What the record is about)
-
This series contains records arising from the Establishment Department's responsibilities in staffing, pay, and common services for other Board of Trade departments.
The papers survive from 1865 but have been heavily weeded.
There are also files relating to parliamentary bills, reports of commissions and committees, returns of statistics on matters within the board's jurisdiction, and papers concerning the responsibilities of the board as a whole and of its individual departments. The series also contains some papers of the Parliamentary Branch.
Other papers of the Parliamentary Branch are in BT 132
