It appears in Docquets of Letters Patent and other Instruments passed under the Great Seal of Charles I, at Oxford, 1642-1646 ed W H Black (London, 1871), together with the contemporary Crown Office dockets. There is an index of names and subjects for each. About a quarter of the enrolments of the Patent Rolls in those years are not in the docket books.
