Patent Office (5th Schedule, 17 May 1935): filed letters patent of 1884 (shaft coupling improvement); and, seven files on applications for various reasons not proceeded with (1898, 1909,1913, and 1924).
The Patent Office Fifth Schedule of classes of documents to be destroyed was signed on behalf of the Patent Office and the Public Record Office on 17 May and laid before both Houses of Parliament on 29 May 1935. The classes named in the schedule are: papers relating to applications for patents in respect of which letters patent have been granted and have expired (to be destroyed after 25 years); and, papers relating to applications for patents in respect of which letters patent have not been granted (to be destroyed after 10 years).
