Description

Letters from various government offices (departments), other organisations and individuals most of which relate to the despatches sent from the governor in CO 321/276, CO 321/277, CO 321/278, and CO 321/279. Correspondents and subjects covered are as follows:

  • Admiralty (St Lucia: defence of colony; wireless station; dependants of people lost in HMS Good Hope - includes list of British West Indians who lost their lives in Good Hope and have left dependents; examination steamer Tow or Vigilant; cost of erecting four French guns);
