Description

Offices and Individuals. Letters from various government offices (departments) and individuals most of which relate to the despatches sent from the governor in CO 321/73, CO 321/74, CO 321/75, CO 321/76, CO 321/77, CO 321/78, CO 321/79, and CO 321/80. Correspondents and subjects covered are as follows:

Offices:

  • House of Commons (treatment of Mr Murphy by the police, Barbados; report of Royal Commission on West Indies, Barbados; confederation of the Windwards, Barbados; land purchase by Governor Sir W Robinson, Barbados; repair of Anglican parsonage from public funds, Grenada);
  • Admiralty (Castries Harbour improvements, St Lucia; revocation of Mr Moylan's commission as Admiralty Advocate):
