The majority of files selected deal with the re-organisation of the National Health Service in Wales in 1973 and contain the records of the Welsh Joint Liaison Committee and some of the advisory sub-committees of the Welsh Medical Committee.
From 2000 National Assembly for Wales
The Health Liaison Division was set up in 1973 with its main function being to oversee the re-organisation of the National Health Service in Wales. In 1976, its name was changed to Health Services 2 Division and its remit was widened to cover liaison with a number of Local Health Authorities in Wales.
