ROSS v COTTRELL AND OTHERS:

: Letters: John Corbett, Demerara to Curwen, Gale of London. Increased sales expected from arrival of Merlin. Return cargo: cotton and coffee (1801);

Letters: Captain Robert Ross, Fort Royal to Curwen Gale. Cargo details (1802);

Statements before Public Notary, John Willson, of Fort Royal: Robert Ross and senior crew. Details of damage to Merlin, return to port and loss of cargo. Appearers disclaim any fault (1802 Apr);

Description of wreck. Admiralty Court condemnation;

Statement: sale of ship Merlin and cargo in Martinique Letter: Ross to Messrs Curwen & Co. Cotton has been sent on another ship (1802 May).
