Rev William Leworthy's journal and account book kept as executor of the estate of Rev James Hitch, rector, Westfield, Suff, died 1824 leaving eight children (named). Record of payments made for children's education and keep, sales of land, executor's expenses etc. Administration partly delegated to Rev James Jenkyns. Plaintiff Thomas Fowler was a bankrupt builder and household supplier of St Albans, Herts, connected by marriage to the defendant. Exhibits include about 300 receipted bills and detailed lists of goods supplied covering all daily needs (except food) lists of wages paid to building labourers, also:
Fowler's 3 bonds for payment to Leworthy (1827-1828);
Auctioneer's sale of estate prospectus (1830);
Bankrupt balance sheet (undated) (1830);
Schedule of defendant's deposited documents (1836).
