These docket books are registers containing summary particulars relating to the issue of commissions, renewed commission and, from 1832, fiats of bankruptcy. Two of the registers of renewed commissions of bankruptcy, 1743 to 1806, also contain entries of associated petitions of creditors.
Entries in the earlier books have been made chronologically and are indexed. In later registers the entries have been made chronologically under the initial letters of the surnames of the bankrupts.
