Description

Despatches from Governor Asser and letters from offices (government departments and other organisations) and individuals on matters related to Bermuda. Despatches are described at item level; letters from offices and individuals are not.

Offices:

  • Admiralty (wireless telegraph stations in Bermuda and Jamaica, duty on effects of Admiralty officials);
  • Crown Agents (agreement to be signed by artisans for the Public Works Department);
  • Foreign Office (activities of British yacht Istar);
  • Home Office (use of crown on Princess Hotel stationery);
  • Board of Trade (sale of SS Reviver by government, supply of oil fuel by West India Oil Co);
  • Direct West India Cable Co (loan of Admiralty station at Bermuda and closing of the Jamaica station);
  • Overseas Nursing Association (appointment of nurses for King Edward VII Hospital, applications include: Miss Florence Emma Wade, Miss Anita Brown, Miss Adeline Lamb, Miss Annabella McNeill, Miss Sara A L Logie, Miss Lucy Jane Loader, Miss Margaret Teresa O'Sullivan, and Miss Dorothy Ismay Dunning);
