Description

Despatches from Governor Sir Robert Macgregor Stewart as well as letters from various offices (government departments and other organisations) and individuals on matters related to Bermuda. Despatches are described at item level; correspondence from officers and individuals is not. Correspondents and subjects for offices and individuals are as follows:

  • Admiralty (naval establishment, wireless telegraphy, Dockyard Port Act, Bermuda Electric Light Power and Traction Company, steamer service);
  • Crown Agents (scholarship);
  • Board of Trade (wireless telegraphy);
  • War Office (garrison, acquisition of land by naturalised aliens, volunteer reserve, military contribution);
  • Lloyds (Official Surveyors Act);
  • Cable Companies (wireless telegraphy);
  • Halifax and Bermudas Cable Company (wireless telegraphy);
