Letters from various government offices (departments) and individuals, most of which relate to the despatches sent from the Governor and Lieutenant Governor in CO 37/196.

Offices: Admiralty, Colonial Agents General, Council Office, Law Office, Civil Service Commission, Post Office, Board of Trade, Treasury, and War Office.

Individuals: Cox & Co, former Convict Department Clerk Samuel Chubb, Colonel Frederick Edward Chapman RE, John Clancy, Mary Douglas regarding former Convict Department officer Francis Douglas, S Gibson Getty regarding Alexander Greenfield, Colonel William G Hamley, former Assistant Warden Thomas Kemp, Benjamin Gibbs Mitchell, Governor Harry St. George Ord, Rector of St. George's Dr. Richard Tucker, The Mayor and Corporation of St. George's (a statement in response to Dr. Barrow's Report on the 1864Yellow Fever Epidemic), and Jacob Henry Williams
